Following his win at Burghley on Parkmore Ed, William Fox-Pitt now has a comfortable cushion of more than 200 points at the head of the H&H advanced eventing league.
Oliver Townend remains in second place in the league after retiring both his horses on the cross-country, while Polly Stockton’s second place with Tom Quigley sees her jump up into equal third on the leaderboard alongside Andrew Nicholson. Andrew narrowly missed out from adding to his points total by finishing in fourth place at the weekend.
Riders can still pick up points at Blenheim, Witton Castle and Twesledown, so while William appears to have the league in the bag, there could still be some changes along the way.
The reader competition to predict the top three on the leaderboard at the end of the season has now closed, so keep checking the microsite to find out if you’re in with a chance to win an off-road driving day with Land Rover, plus a year’s free subscription to Horse & Hound.
