Touzaint triumphs at Boekelo

  • Nicolas Touzaint continued his brilliant autumn season with a flawless performance to win the Boekelo CCI*** with Tatchou.

Second after dressage to Andreas Dibowski (FRH Little Lemon), Touzaint was one of only three to get round inside the cross-country time and ended up with two show jumps in hand over Dibowski, which he simply did not need.

Germany filled the next three places — Dibowski, Elmar Lesch on Heracles TSF and Peter Thomsen on King Artus — and win the unofficial team competition.

Fifth was Australia’s impressive partnership of Georgia Clifford and It’s Monty, ahead of Rodolphe Scherer (Iman Du Golfe), and two more Germans, Bettina Hoy (Peaceful Warrior) and Andreas Ostholt (Lady Lemon, FRH).

Best of the 21 British competitors was Mary King, who rose from 29th to ninth with Apache Sauce.
