The selectors have announced the eventers who will represent Britain at the junior European Championships in Waragem, Belgium (11-14 September):
- Giles Blanchard, 18, on his own Arnies Game
- Sienna Myson-Davies, 17, on her own Tambourine
- Camilla Dumas, 16, on Action Packed, owned by Camilla and her father, Robin Dumas
- Amelia King, 18, on her own Captain Crunchie
- Evie Paterson,17, on her own Direct Opposition
- Eliza Sangster, 17, on her own High Havoc
The squad reserves are:
- Dani Evans, 17, on Uchin, owned by Heather Sheppard
- Evie Paterson, 17, on her own Direct Supreme
- Gina Ruck, 16, on her own Rehy Too
Sienna will be defending the double gold medals she won at last year’s junior Europeans at Thirlestane. Giles and Evie both rode as individuals at that championships, finishing sixth and 16th respectively. Amelia, Camilla and Eliza all make their squad debuts.
Chairman of the junior selectors Robin Balfour said: “We are very fortunate to have three combinations with previous junior European Championship experience as part of the squad. We are delighted that they will be joined by three riders making their squad debuts — all six truly deserve their places.”
