Salperton Horse Trials


  • Beanie Sturgis (ne Hughes) and Monarchs Rock won the advanced intermediate section at Salperton Horse Trials by just 0.1pen over Andrew Nicholson and Flush Banker. Zara Phillips and Toytown finished eighth in this section.

    The open intermediate section provided a welcome win for Daisy Dick and Hope Street. Matthew Wright and Well Spotted were second, ahead of William Fox-Pitt and Parkmore Ed in third.

    Julie Tew won intermediate section A on King Of The Catwalk. Andrew Nicholson was second on the Twenty Twelve In Mind syndicates six-year-old Oplitas. Third place went to Paul Tapner and Sensational Sydney.

    Polly Stockton and Estrada claimed intermediate section B. Just behind were Aimee Mowbray and her own After Eight. Third was Andrew Nicholson with another of his good young horses, Paul Ridgeons six-year-old Trafalgar.
