Phil Smith joins the British Eventing board

RIDER Amanda Ratcliffe has been replaced on the board of British Eventing (BE) by BE business committee member Phil Smith.

Ms Ratcliffe, board member for three years, has decided that due to other commitments, she does not have enough time to devote to the role, said BE.

Mr Smith, of Bremhill, Wiltshire, was co-opted to the board on Friday 5 September.

His wife, Maureen, is the owner of Two Thyme, Ruth Edge’s four-star ride.
