The Professional Event Riders’ Association is to undergo a major reorganisation to help it meet the needs of its members.
PERA’s board is looking to recruit a full-time secretary to look after the day-to-day running of the organisation when board members are out of the country competing.
PERA’s website is also being relaunched at www.peraworld.com as part of the reorganisation.
Chairman Blyth Tait explained: “The site will improve communication on a global level offering information, including the latest world ranking and how members can benefit from services provided by PERA partners.”
Plans for PERA activities during 2001 include the annual ball, members’ open forum and a repeat of last year’s successful safety days.
