New BE website delayed

  • British Eventing’s new website is suffering a delay but is expected to go live in around two-weeks time

The launch of British Eventing’s new website has been delayed until the secure areas of the site, which will carry members’ personal information have been completed and fully tested.

The new site, which is expected to be up and running at www.britisheventing.co.uk in the next couple of weeks, will include:

    • Searchable results, allowing users to search for a rider, horse and/or event
    • Secure online membership and horse registration
    • Password-protected members area, including chat and a notice board
    • Ability to purchase latest rule books and branded BE clothing

“The new website has been built around our members suggestions and requests,” explains British Eventing spokesperson, Winnie Murphy. “It will be much easier to navigate than the existing site with all information no more than three mouse clicks away.”

All BE members will receive an individual password, which allows them to amend their personal details. Any changes will be confirmed via email ensuring details do not get changed without the members knowledge.

“Security is one of our top priorities,” says Winnie. “We will only go live with the new site when we are satisfied that all our members’ details, including credit card information, are secure.”

  • Members who want to register horses for events with March ballot dates should apply by post to British Eventing, National Agricultural Centre, Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, CV8 2RN or via fax on (fax: 02476 697235).
