Latest update for horse trials competitors
The organisers of Monmouth horse trials are determined to provide competitors with a fixture this season, despite being prevented from running at Park Farm, Llantilio Crossenny because of FMD restrictions.
Instead, they have decided to move the event down the road to Mount Ballan. The event, still to be known as Monmouth, will take place on 15 September as scheduled and all other details are the same as the Autumn Omnibus.
Tom Vesey will use his range of portable cross-country fences to ensure at least one third of the course is different from the Mount Ballan event. The British Eventing Board has agreed to waive the prior knowledge rule on this occasion so competitors can go to both events.
