Junior rider’s horse dies at Chepstow Horse Trials

  • Which Way II, ridden by junior event rider Alice Norman, collapsed and died on the cross-country course at Chepstow Horse Trials at the weekend.

The 17-year-old collapsed with a suspected heart attack when Alice was about to remount after being unseated at fence 17 on the international novice track. The partnership competed in the same class at the event last season, finishing in fifth place.

Which Way II was previously ridden by Bumble Thomas and Piggy French, winning the under-25 title at Bramham with Piggy in 2004.
