Horse extravaganza will be held at Hartpury College in January

  • Tickets are available now for the Event Horse Owners’ Association (EHOA) horse extravaganza in January.

Eventers Matt Ryan (pictured), Laura Collett, Richard Waygood and Lucy Wiegersma will show their skills in a flatwork and jumping demonstration and junior dressage team gold medallist Gemma Green, will open the event, on 9 January, with a dressage display.

Then a team of Army riders will demonstrate the fast and furious sport of tent pegging — spearing a small wooden peg at the gallop with a long lance.

A knock-out jumping competition will round off the afternoon, with four teams comprised of eventers, showjumpers, jockeys and the Army competing against each other and the clock.

The event at Hartpury College starts at 2.30pm and is in aid of the Army Widows Association.

Advance tickets (£18 adults, £16 EHOA members, £8 children) and 10% group discounts are available now, and tickets will be available on the door.

Go to www.horse-extra.com to buy your ticket.
