Three riders have withdrawn from the original long-list for the Hartpury College British Young Rider eventing squad.
These are Craig Anderson (Loch Spy), Emily Baldwin (Welton Sparkle) and Jennifer Tett (Windpower Pioneer & Speakeasy III).
The new long-list includes:

- Kitty Boggis (18) Bampton, Oxon riding Leading Edge
- Clare Chamberlayne (21) Newbury, Berkshire riding Headley Kingdom
- Emilie Chandler (20) Old Dalby, Leicestershire riding Weston Miskris
- Nicholas Collins (21) Warfield, Berkshire riding Henchman II
- Piggy French (20) Dereham, Norfolk riding Flintlock II
- Jenny Julian (21) St Agnes, Cornwall riding Rathmore Diamond
- Caroline Prickett (20) Banbury, Oxon riding Bossy
- Emma Robson (20) Great Missenden, Bucks riding Fredinsky and Headley Britannia
- Kylie Roddy (19) Burnham, Bucks riding Kyrenejenallas Boy

The team for the European Championships at Waregem, Belgium on 6-9 September 2001 will be announced following the final trial at Hartpury College on 12 August.
