The Caroline Pratt Memorial Bursary for up-and-coming talent in eventing has been won this year by Gemma Hoare from West Yorkshire.
Ms Hoare, who recently passed her BHSI exams, runs a livery and teaching business with her sister and is developing a team of young horses. She received a £2,000 training grant.
This is the final year the bursary will be run and, due to the high standard of applicants, four reserve bursaries of £500 were awarded to Charlotte Cundall from Yorkshire, Amy Lennon from Cheshire, Carrie Byrom from Lancashire and Martyn Johnson from Northumberland.
