While elite auctions for dressage horses and show jumpers have been the norm for a number of years, particularly on the continent, there have been no sales of this nature specifically for event horses &mdash until now.
Up and coming eventing stars are to come under the Top-Event-Horse-Auction spotlight at the Luhmühlen training centre in Germany on 4-5 November. Around 20 horses and ponies, aged four to eight years old, will be available for purchase during the elite sale.
The horses are expected to range from youngsters with their first promising competition experiences under their belt to more established horses with successful international competition records. All will have been selected due to their potential for success at the highest level.
The horses are expected to arrive at Luhmühlen on Saturday 29 October and interested parties will be able to view the horses in training and have trial rides during the week prior to the auction. A gala evening performance will take place on Friday 4 November, with the auction commencing at 2pm on Saturday 5 November.
Full details of the horses being sold are due to be released around mid-October. For more details visit: www.top-eventers.com
