Central Scotland Horse Trials

  • Young rider European Champion Amy Young claimed the open intermediate with Highville at Central Scotland Horse Trials.

Dressage leader David Gatherer, riding last year’s Burgie CCI** winner, Rockhill Kashmir, finished second ahead of Julie Lawson on Goshawk. Craig Anderson was second after dressage with High Learchild but fell to fourth with two costly poles down.

John Hughes rode away with top honours in the intermediate section on Sue Stanton’s Bay Accord. Alan Gilbert finished second on the Irish-bred Carahue Diamond. Elidh-Jane Middleton ensured an injection of youth into the line-up by taking third place on her own Demoiselle.
