British riders have enjoyed a successful morning of dressage at Bramham International Horse Trials, taking hold of the leader board. Lucy Kemplay and Karl d’Cymbeline have moved into the lead as the dressage judges break for lunch, with Pippa Funnell (pictured) in third.
Kemplay scored an astonishing 42.6 pen, putting her three penalties ahead of overnight leader Steven Smith from Ireland (45.6 pen).
Smith has been relegated to second position with Pippa Funnell in third and Julie Tew in fifth. Funnell and Blue Horizon performed a beautiful dressage test and their 48 pen score has certainly put them on track for success at Bramham. Sarah Cohen and Hide and See II are in eleventh place on a score of 55.2 pen.
