Top young rider loses team place

  • Jacqueline Siu and Najac will be travelling to France for the Young Rider European Dressage Championship to replace Maria Eilberg, whose top ride, Don Perry, has been injured.

Maria’s other top ride, Two Sox, was also listed for the team but is not fit enough to compete, according to her father, Ferdi Eilberg.

Ferdi says: “Don Perry has suffered a knock and Two Sox was already enjoying a break, so we felt it was unfair to suddenly bring him back into full work.”

The new squad for the Young Rider European Dressage Championships, which are being held alongside the Junior European Dressage Championships at Saumur in France on 22-27 July is:

    • Charlotte Edmonds (Broomford Locarno)
    • Gemma Green (Argentille Gullit)
    • Jodie Lister (Catherston Humbug or Nicky)
    • Jacqueline Siu (Najac)
