What’s new: Transit rug

The Comfort Zone Equestrian transit rug, which has been designed to protect the horse’s most vulnerable areas from knocks and bumps while travelling, was unveiled at the recent BETA trade fair.

The rug is made from a hard-wearing close-knit polypropylene mesh with additional “Airflex” padding across the hip, shoulder and tail areas. Airflex is a mesh of small hexagonal pads, which move with the horse to distribute pressure evenly.

The multi-purpose transit rug has two clip fastenings at the chest and cross-surcingles to keep it secure while on the horse. It is breathable and lightweight so can be used as a cooler or under rug, as well as a travel rug.

The rug is only available in black, in medium, large and extra large sizes. It retails at around £66.

Airflex travel boots are also available as part of the Comfort Zone Equestrian transit range.
