The arrival of summer is always accompanied by the appearance of flying insects, which can irritate your horse while out grazing. However, Horseware’s new Flybuster range will help keep your horse comfortable by keeping the troublesome flies at bay.
All the rugs in the Flybuster range are made from a tough 1000 denier PVC-coated polyester that moulds to the horse’s shape. The rugs help to filter sunlight and prevent the coat from bleaching as well as creating a barrier between your horse’s sensitive skin and the annoying insects.
The newest addition to the range is the Flybuster Supreme, which is available in silver and gold. The rug has unique leg arches and a third surcingle as well as Horseware’s “surefit” neck design and patented ‘V’ fastenings to ensure protection from bugs, helping to reduce bleaching and keeping your horse cool. Available in sizes 5’6″ to 7’0″, the rugs cost around £79.
The range also includes Flybuster Plus, with surefit and ‘V’ fastenings, which is available in sizes 5’6″ to 7’0″, and costs around £65, and the Flybuster Original, which has been redesigned and is now available in white and navy check with a silky shoulder lining. Available in sizes 5’0″ to 7’3″ it costs around £56. The Original also has an optional neck cover, which is available in small, medium and large for around £20.
