Olympic feed sponsorship for British team

British team horses will be powered by Spillers nutrition in the run up to the Athens Olympics in 2004
Feed manufacturer Spillers is continuing to support the British equestrian teams with a sponsorship package, which includes the supply of feed and expert nutritional advice until the Athens Olympic Games in 2004.
“All competitors are constantly looking for something which can give them an edge,” explains Jeremy Brereton, chief executive of Spillers. “Athletes recognise the benefits of sports nutrition, which also has a major role to play for the competition horse.”
The agreement between Spillers, the British Equestrian Federation and the British Olympic Association will see the company providing feed and feed supplements to British team horses across all the disciplines, including the showjumpers, event horses and dressage horses travelling to the next Olympics.
“Expertnutritional advice and the whole range of Spillers products will be available to all riders representing Britain in the run up to any international event,” explains Spillers marketing director, Paul Brindley.
“Since 1968, our ongoing support of the British team has enabled us to forge close relationships with our top riders. These relationships have helped us develop feeds with the ideal levels of energy and nutrition for competition horses, such as our new Response Competition feeds range.”

Spillers has fed horses at top international competitions for many years, including all the horses at the Seoul Olympics (1988) and the horses of 13 nations at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
