Mark Todd took on the role of pathfinder for the Olympic eventing competition in Hong Kong. The former double Olympic champion was the first rider to tackle the eventing dressage and cross-country.
Todd scored 94.40 in the dressage and went clear across-country with Gandalf, picking up 27.2 time penalties. Going into the show jumping Todd is in 29th place individually, while the New Zealand team are in sixth place.
