Home needed for rescued Labrador

  • While most dogs want a place in front of the fire, Buster, a National Canine Defence League (NCDL) rescue is looking for the opposite – he needs an outside kennel.

Buster, a 3½-year-old Labrador was brought into the NCDL’s Evesham Rehoming Centre just before Christmas when his owner, a game keeper, could no longer look after him.

Used to living and working outdoors, Buster is unable to adapt to the home comforts laid on for him at the centre.

Chris Slight, centre manager for the NCDL in Evesham, said: “Buster is a lovely chap who loves people and other dogs. Unfortunately, we are finding it very difficult to rehome him as he has spent so much of his life outdoors.

“We are appealing to anyone who has a very large garden or grounds where Buster could live to contact us. Buster is like other dogs in every way, but he just wants to live outside and not in a house – there must be a home out there for him somewhere!”

Buster loves people, enjoys playing, socialising with other dogs and going for long walks. If you think you can offer him the life he needs, please contact the NCDL Evesham Rehoming Centre (tel: 01386 830613).
