H&H’s first show special ON SALE

  • With spring is just around the corner, competition riders are starting to turn their attention to the forthcoming season. Perfect timing then for Horse & Hound’s show specials, which begin on Thursday 19 February.

The first of the three show specials is packed with fascinating features, as well as dates for thousands of affiliated and unaffiliated events around the country

This year’s show directories have been expanded to include contact telephone numbers for the first time, as well as dates and locations of events, ranging from horse shows and hunter trials to polo matches and pleasure rides, making it easier than ever for Britain’s riders to plan their season.

“The show numbers are vital to any rider planning their season. Now they will make that process easier, and more exciting than ever,” says Horse & Hound editor Lucy Higginson.

Budding dressage enthusiasts who are keen to take the plunge into affiliated competition this year shouldn’t miss this week’s magazine as it offers riders the chance to claim a two FREE “tickets to ride” at a British Dressage competition. The tickets are valid at hundreds of venues throughout the country, leaving only the entry fee to pay.

As well as all the regular news, reports, comment and horses for sale, the first show special sees Horse & Hound find out what top competition riders really think of natural horsemanship; which equine events riders look forward to most; and offers expert advice on the best way to prepare your horse for competition.

The magazine also sees Robert Whitaker talk frankly about being part of a show jumping dynasty, and Horse & Hound examine why Lusitano’s are growing in popularity and how the SEIB Search for a Star showing competition has become such a huge success.

The show specials are always extremely popular and sell out fast so make sure you don’t miss out by picking up your copy of Horse & Hound’s first show special.
