Give a dog a home

  • Dog rescue centre needs to find a home for its longest serving canine resident

Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter near Malvern, is appealing for a home for its longest serving resident canine.

Wagger is a six-year-old German Shepherd/Collie cross who has been at the centre for nearly 18 months.

Sally Nash, relief manager said: “Wagger is everyone’s favourite among the staff and volunteers at the centre.”

He is a lovely, intelligent dog, who is very well trained and loves to play. He is good on the lead and obeys a variety of voice commands, such as sit and stay and comes when called.”

“The problem is that Wagger doesn’t enjoy being in a kennel. When people walk past he tends to get very excited and jumps up and down and barks.”

“If people could see Wagger in a one-to-one situation, then I’m sure they would change their opinion.”

Wagger is looking for a home without other pets and with older children.

If you think you could give Wagger the home he deserves, contact Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter (tel: 01905 831651) or visit www.pyrrha.demon.co.uk
