The Champion Universal Helmet is a lightweight alternative to the traditional riding hat.
It is ventilated to help keep the rider’s head cool and features removable and washable internal pads to improve rider comfort. With its detachable peak it can be worn with or without a silk.
The helmet, which complies with BS EN1384 and ASTM F1163, is available in black or white in a range of child and adult sizes. Costs around £31 for child’s sizes and around £37 for adults.
Tester Paul Harrison, a company director who enjoys hacking and cross-country with his 15hh Anglo Arab, said: “This hat is fantastic. It’s very light and has excellent ventilation so your head doesn’t get hot and sweaty in warmer weather.
“It’s easy to wear, is well designed, fits nicely and feels secure. This hat is a practical choice because it looks stylish, is very comfortable and offers excellent value for money.
“It’sa great choice for either every day use or competitions. I would definitely buy another one.”
