Celebrities to judge amateurs


  • Blue Chip’s Chance of a Lifetime competition offers riders the chance to compete for a top prize in front of celebrity panel

    There are just a few weeks left to enter Blue Chip’s”Chance of a Lifetime” competition to win a Cliff Barnsby saddle. The closing date for entries is 21 September.

    Simply send a detailed biography of yourself, with information about your equestrian background and experience, plus photographs of you and your horse either training at home or at competitions.

    There are four sections for non-professionals in showing, show jumping, eventing and dressage.

    The six best entries in each section will go forward to the final on 14 October 2001 at Solihull Riding Club with their horse.

    Finalists will be interviewed and asked to give an individual display in front of the panel of celebrity judges, including Kyra Kyrkland, Robert Walker, Di Lampard and Chris Bartle.

    The overall champion, who will win the saddle, will be chosen from the four section winners.

    Other prizes include a £250 voucher for CAM Equestrian and a rug, a year’s supply of Blue Chip Feed Balancer, a Cliff Barnsby bridle and a 12-month subscription to Horse & Hound magazine.

    Competitors should also explain which section they are entering and why they would like to win.
