The H&H Live team will be providing live and interactive written commentary on every horse and rider as they tackle the cross-country course at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials 2014.

There are many factors that contribute to winning medals and equine nutrition is a vital piece of the performance jigsaw. We base all our feed products on extensive research and development, whether for performance or leisure horses. It is our commitment to research and quality assurance that allows us to continue our work and association with Equestrian Team GBR.

The penalty is not automatic and the Ground Jury must consider all situations case by case to determine if the penalty should be applied.” therefore the penalty is not automatic – and is done on a case by case basis

OMG! Imperial cavalier jumped up the bank, put one front leg through the owl hole, stopped, Mary hung on then a second front leg, the both back legs. Mary pulled him up, got her stirrups back, then jumped the final element. That was clear but very odd!

Having fence judged at lower levels there are times when refusals can be subjective – the rider doesn’t think horse took a step back at drop but the fence judge saw horse take step back. Objection is lodged then the fence judge has to remember the horse and what happened when the steward comes to discuss the matter.

Update from Lucinda – Christi has a small cut on his stifle which has been checked by two vets. I pulled him up immediately after the third element of fence five as soon as I felt him lame on his right hind. Vets checked him at the fence as he was holding his leg up. After assurance from the vets we hand walked him back to the stables where he has been washed and cleaned and seems very comfortable.

from Facebook: Update from Lucinda – Christi has a small cut on his stifle which has been checked by two vets. I pulled him up immediately after the third element of fence five as soon as I felt him lame on his right hind. Vets checked him at the fence as he was holding his leg up. After assurance from the vets we hand walked him back to the stables where he has been washed and cleaned and seems very comfortable.
