Avon Vale hunt supporters in court

  • Five Avon Vale hunt supporters, including former joint-master Jonathon Seed and current joint-master Stuart Radbourne, have appeared in court, accused of unlawful hunting.

Four of the defendants are also accused of interfering with a badger sett. Mr Seed is not accused of this offence.

All five deny the charge under the Hunting Act 2004, but Mr Radbourne indicated a guilty plea to an offence under the Protection of Badgers Act 1992.

The case is brought privately by the RSPCA, which claims the offences took place on 6 March at Stockley Hollow, Wilts. The case was adjourned to 9 November.
