    How to get there

Bishop Burton is located on the A1079 between Market Weighton and Hull, two miles west of Beverley and eight miles from the M62.

    What the organisers say

Our main sponsor is Coopers Marquees.

The dressage takes place on grass, while the showjumping, which is designed by Di Boddy, is on a surface.

The cross-country courses, designed by Mark Watler, run over hilly parkland and through woodland making the most of the naturally undulating terrain. The ground will be aera-vated if necessary. The tracks are bold but inviting, with a mix of permanent and portable fences, including water. There will be some changes at all levels this year, utilising the legacy of the junior European Championships held here in 2014. The courses suit everyone as alternatives are provided
    at all levels.

An additional £60 and a prize in kind will be presented to the winner of each section in celebration of 2015 being Bishop Burton College’s diamond jubilee and the 27th year of British Eventing horse trials here.

    What the riders say

Dressage & showjumping — “Bishop Burton do a great job to support eventing and put on a good event, although this year the dressage was like a mud bath. Thankfully, however, the showjumping was on a surface.” “It was very wet so I’m amazed it ran so well.” “The dressage arenas were good and flat with lots of room and in a quiet area.” “The showjumping is held in an amazing, massive arena, so it’s brilliant.”

Cross-country — “The cross country was just too wet and waterlogged and inconsistent in places so I didn’t run most of my horses.” “The team must have had a hell of a task to clear up afterwards, which I appreciate must have been really tough after all their hard work. It was a real shame as the cross-country had some educational questions on it.” “It was incredibly wet so very difficult to judge the course. The novice was technical and not suitable for young or novice horses or combinations. The intermediate looked like a nice course, but I pulled up as it was too wet.”
