This is a really smart shirt that is also practical in navy blue. The fit was quite loose in a medium, more so than I would generally expect, but this made it comfortable to wear and easy to move around in, and also meant it didn’t ride up and could be worn tucked in or out of breeches.

It is a very good quality shirt, and the fabric felt quite luxurious. After two wears it did start to lose a bit of shape, but was always fine again once washed.

The adjustable zipped neck means it is well-suited to riding in different temperatures – when zipped all the way up, it was more windproof than I expected. Being breathable, it is a great base layer in the cold and a fairly cool single layer in warm conditions. The white mesh on the inside of the sleeves not only made the shirt look quite snazzy but was really effective when it came to helping wick away sweat – even after an intense jumping session the shirt didn’t stick to me and make me cold.

A small problem was the fact that there is no stretch in the hem of the sleeves, meaning that it is very difficult to roll the sleeves up even a little way.

I’d say this shirt comes into its own when being worn to ride in during cold weather, keeping you very warm considering how lightweight it is, both during and after riding, with excellent sweat-wicking ability.

Fans of Valegro now have a new way to show their support of the dressage star.

Classic Dressage has brought out a t-shirt printed with an image of Blueberry’s face.

The t-shirt, which is aimed at — but not limited to — teenage girls, features the Olympic gold medal-winner’s head and is finished with Swarovski crystals and pearls.

It is the first product from a new Valegro Blueberry range from the company.

“We are delighted to be able to offer this exclusive range to Valegro’s fans on a worldwide basis,” said director of Classic Dressage Julia Hornig.

“It’s not every day that a horse gets his own range of merchandise.”

The t-shirt, will be launched at the Hartpury Festival of Dressage next week (9 July).

“We already have a lot of orders for this cute top,” added Ms Hornig.

“It’s just the first piece in what we are planning to be a comprehensive Blueberry Valegro fashion range.”

Based on a painting by Bridgette Smart, the t-shirt range is made from a cotton and Lycra blend and will feature the hallmark gold medal logo.

The limited edition range will be available at the Hartpury Premier League show (9-13 July) and at Hickstead CDIO (16-19 July).

The t-shirt is available in four colours — pink, baby blue, cream and black.

It comes in the following sizes — children: age four–five, six-seven, eight-nine, 10-11 and 12-13, at £22.50; and adults: small (6-8), medium (8-10) and large (10-12), costing £27.

British Eventing (BE) has added three new products to its branded clothing and accessories range — a hoodie, a polo shirt and a cosy dog coat.

The new Sherpa Hoodie, lined with a soft fleece, has side slant pockets with patriotic red, white and blue studs, a ribbed hem and contrasting coloured, ribbed cuffs. The BE logo is printed down the left arm and it features a two-way zip that makes it practical when in the saddle.

It is available in sizes XS to XXL and is priced at around £69.99.

For the summer months BE has also launched a feminine, fitted polo shirt. Made from 100% cotton with red, white and blue buttons, the BE Ladies’ horse logo polo shirt has a contrasting, coloured placket and a small chest pocket. The BE horse emblem is embroidered on the front of the chest and the logo is featured on the side.

The polo shirt is available in navy and white in sizes XS to XXL. It is priced at £34.99. A ladies sleeveless version is also available.

Keeping patriotism to the fore, BE has also launched a waterproof dog coat designed to

keep your dog warm and cosy on chilly winter walks.

The coat features a Velcro belly wrap with navy binding and reflective piping. It is lined with quality fleece for warmth and is machine washable.

Country clothing company Timothy Foxx has added two new polo shirts to its men’s collection.

The Marsden country polo shirt comes in washed navy, with white cuffs and a white collar.
