If you’ve always wondered what New Zealand’s four-star eventer Tim Price‘s favourite food was, what chores he really dreads or whether he has a lucky mascot, then wait no longer. Jonelle Price: I’m a bit of a thrill-seeker really
H&H quizzes eventer Jonelle Price on all the big issues of the day — food, films, dream holidays and what
Mucking out or tack cleaning?
I would rather muck out in the winter and clean tack in the summer.
What is your worst horsey chore?
My worst horsey chore would have to be getting horses in from the field before an event at 4.30am in the morning when it’s not quite the middle of summer yet.
Do you have a lucky mascot when you’re competing?
I’m not sure that I do have a lucky mascot but Wesko is bit of a mascot in himself — he’s a real character.
If you didn’t event, what would you do?
If I didn’t do my discipline I would probably be on a ski field somewhere living out something competitive in that sport, having a lot of fun.
What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
One of the scariest but probably one of the stupidest things I’ve done was jump off that barn roof over there one time at a party we had here. It seemed like a great idea at the time but it landed me in hospital.
Which horse do you have the biggest soft spot for?
The horse that I have the biggest soft spot for would be Vortex. He’s not with us any more but he was a great horse for my career and he was my best mate.
