Specialist riding tour operator In The Saddle has been shortlisted for the travel industry’s “Oscars” — the British Travel Awards.
In The Saddle is the first equestrian travel company to be shortlisted for the prestigious event, for which 2010 winners will be announced at a gala awards night in London on 4 November.
The company is a contender for “Best Activity/Sports Tour Operator”, for which the public may vote. It is up against a raft of well-known names in the travel world such as Sunsail, Mark Warner, Virgin Holidays and Espirit Ski.
In The Saddle managing director Olwen Law is aware of this, but explains that the company is thrilled to be nominated.
“We are the first equestrian company to be listed for these awards, and we are delighted to have been nominated,” she said.
“We’re up against some very well known companies as these are, essentially, THE awards for the travel industry.”
Olwen added: “We receive amazing feedback from customers each and every day so we are hoping to translate this positivity into votes to be in with a chance of winning.”
In The Saddle offer riding holiday across the world, from Australia to Iceland.
