You will ride through marvellous, never-ending Tuchola forest using sandy and soft tracks, passing villages hidden and forgotten in the wild woods, visiting huge, impressive medieval castles… everything with very comfortable accommodation in lovely castles and country houses (en-suite double rooms).
Our rides are great fun. Horses are forward going, fit and responsive. We have fast gallops, jump natural obstacles on the way and play some games during the trail to entertain us and the horses. Additionally you learn about Polish history and tradition.
If you are looking for adventure combined with safety, horses and a cultural experience this trail is perfect for you. This country has been created for horse riding, with long sandy roads through never-ending magical forests, fantastic scenery, wildlife, streams, rivers and crystal clear lakes.
Here you will find the itinerary for a 6 day trail in Tuchola forest and Teutonic castles:
08.09 Sunday – arrival day, welcome dinner and accommodation in an apartment or guest house.
09.09 Monday – after breakfast you will have to find your horse in the field, followed by a ride to the Tuchola forest, before breaking for lunch in the romantic set up in Rybno, followed by an afternoon ride to discover the neighborhood. Finish by the lake where your horse can cool off. Accommodation in the wooden houses.
10.09 Tuesday – breakfast for us and the horses. You will ride along sandy roads in the forest, along river banks and on the lake shore, where you can go swimming with the horse. Accommodation is in the small rancho http://www.polana.biz.pl/
11.09 Wednesday – today there is around 40km ahead of us. Most of this trail goes along Wda river (a famous place in Poland for kayaking), additionally nature reserves and another lake. Overnight in Polana rancho.
12.09 Thursday – around 40 km of still breathtaking forest, maybe a break to collect mushrooms, and to rest on the lake shore. Accomodation will be in castle Rynkowk with a fancy dinner www.zamekrynkowka.com
13.09 Friday – we change the scenery for the next 2 days. This time we wander along Vistula river — 35 km of meadows and forest. Accommodation is in the medieval castle (but no worries about medieval standards, we will have warm water and windows… and even 4 stars). www.zamek-gniew.pl
14.09 Saturday – 40 km of amazing views with Malbork castle at the end. Visit the castle and transport back to the riding stable Huzar Nowe. Farewell dinner for us and carrot cake for the horses.
