Irish show jumpers enjoy success in Europe


  • Irish show jumpers continue to clock up a succession of successes in early international shows throughout Europe.

    Harry Marshall has now scored three decisive victories in the CSI-A competition at Modena,Italy, to add to his tally of two wins at Parabiago CSI-C, Italy, just 10 days ago.

    Ireland’s Cian O’Connor scored his first win at Modena CSI-A on Sunday withA first place in the speed class, riding Kala.

    Conor Swail has had two class victories at Modena, with another in Parabiago, while in Monte Carlo Ireland’s Jessica Kurten took first in the coveted Aegon Masters competition, and won a Peugeot car in the process,despite suffering from a virus which took her out ofthe show the following day.

    In Maubeuge, France, meanwhile, Irish riders Dermott Lennon, Billy Twomey,Robert Power,Edward Doyle and Peter Charles are hovering in the top 10placings.
