Derby House Elite Plus lightweight turnout rug: review

Our tester liked this product, ideal for warm but rainy days

This is a blue Derby Horse lightweight turnout rug. A bright blue lightweight rug, it has reflective strips which made my pony easy to spot in the field. This rug was great for light showers and light enough to wear in September without making my pony sweat. This is a lightweight rug for rainy days rather than a thick winter rug. It has been totally waterproof and very durable even when the mud is being hosed off. It is a good quality rug which has kept clean and dries quickly and has kept totally dry inside.

An extra gusset at the front of the rug ensures easy movement and prevents any rubbing. My pony is difficult to fit rugs to, being very short and round, however the rug was adjustable to fit and stayed on well even though my pony does enjoy a good wallow and roll in the mud.

The front fastenings and cross surcingles are simple, quick and easy to use and back leg straps ensure that it stays in place. There are two Velcro sections at the front of the rug which would enable a hood to be easily attached if so desired.

I was very pleased with this product overall as a lightweight waterproof and recommend it.
