The Czech Rebuplic’s Grand national, the Velka Pardubicka, has been won for the third time in succession by home runner Peruan.
British hope Celtic Gian, ridden by Bruce Givson, unseated his rider at the ninth fence but happily no horse or riders were injured during the race and 10 of the 15 runners completed the 4m 21/2f, 31 obstacle event.
