  • Six-time champion jockey Kieren Fallon’s career could be at an end after failing a random drugs test. It was revealed today that he has received an 18-month worldwide ban that begins on 2 February.

Mr Fallon tested positive last August after winning the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville on Myboycharlie.

Last month Mr Fallon was cleared of charges of intending to defraud Betfair customers. During the case he was banned from riding in Britain.

Mr Fallon has already lodged an appeal following a hearing in Paris this week. He only returned to race riding in June last year after failing a prohibited substance test the summer before.
