  • The National Stud Fair, to be held on 2 and 3 December, will host a careers bureau set up to give practical advice on how to train for employment on a stud or racing yard.

Representatives from The British Stud Staff Training Scheme, British Racing School and British Horseracing Training Board will be on hand to answer questions, with staff from West Oxfordshire College and Writtle College also in attendance.

All visitors to the careers bureau – aged between 16 and 24 years – will have the chance to enter a free draw.

Prizes include a Junior Annual Membership at Newmarket or two badges for an evening hunter chase meeting, followed by an exclusive Club 16-24 party, generously presented by Newmarket Racecourses Trust and CheltenhamRacecourse respectively.

The fair will also feature a number of top class stallions for the flat, competition, arab racing and endurance riding, as well as more than 100 stands.

Entry to the fair is £5.00 per car per day. For more information on special offers for student groups call Fiona Maw on 01638 663464.
