  • The racing world competes in a quiz to raise funds for the National Horseracing Museum

A quiz to test the general knowledge of the racing fraternity will take place tomorrow at the Jockey Club Rooms in Newmarket. The event has been organised by the Friends of the National Horseracing Museum to raise money for the charity.

Organiser of the event, Lindsay Rorrison, said: “We are hoping that this evening will not only raise funds, but also raise the profile of the National Horseracing Museum and allow us to buy new exhibits.”

The quizmaster for the evening is Mike Cattermole of Channel 4 racing who will preside over 20 teams of five from all sectors of the racing world, including breeders, trainers, stewards and officials.

The evening will begin at 7.30pm with a champagne reception followed by the quiz, then a buffet supper for the competitors.

If you would like to make a donation to the Friends of the National Horseracing Museum or become a member, contact Lindsay Rorrison (tel: 01638 577341).
