  • Zedlock has introduced a range of enhancements to its gate lock, including new handle options and bespoke sizes.

The Zedlock was first launched in November 2011 with the aim of creating a lock that would still work when the gap between the gate and post was up to 2 inches wide.

“I installed Zedlocks to my lorry parking area and gates because they are subtle, effective and look nice,”said Pip Wates from Equine Aqua Training in West Sussex.

“I now have a lock which is more like a back door lock and key, it gets locked each night and opened in the morning and I don’t have to worry or fiddle about with frozen chains and WD40!”

The lock mechanism remains unchanged, but the sliding bolt now has a fluted design which improves the action. There’s also a bevelled cut at the closing end which helps align the sliding bolt into the gate post. The lock case is now zinc iron coated, with the option of a black powder coat finish.

Zedlock is also now offering an industrial range to suit frames from 10mm to 80mm diameter. They can be supplied from stock or made to order.
