  • Riders looking for a comfortable and hard-wearing pair of boots for using around the yard, should take a look at the Gardener Brumby boots, from Gumleaf Clothing.

The boots are made from a single piece of 2.4mm thick bull hide, with a kangaroo skin lining and gel sole pad for added comfort. Described as completely weatherproof, they have oil-resistant cork rubber soles, with nylon, rot free thread used for all upper stitching.

According to the company, the Australian-made boots can be restored to their original stylish appearance with a simple application of oil or wax, making them truly multi-purpose.

Gumleaf founder Alistair Paterson, who has a farm in Norfolk, says, “My farm manager has a pair on destruction testing, and 12 months on they are still looking good.”

The Brumby boots are available in sizes 4 – 13 for men and women and cost in the region of £165.
