  • Paxton Equine has revealed a new product, Soak-a–Way, that the company claims will make soaking hay this winter “a less arduous chore“.

Soak-a-Way has an integrated draining system that prevents the user from getting wet and, the company claims, makes carrying soaked hay a safer task.

Soaking hay is reported to be of “great help” in removing sugar and contaminants from feed and preventing coughing, and in more serious cases, RAO (Recurrent Airway Obstruction).

The hay soaker that will not rust or corrode has a capacity of 120 litres, around half a bale of hay, and is made from heavy-duty polyethylene. The product can also be used for steaming hay in areas with no electricity.

Soak-a-Way costs £150 (excluding VAT) — for more information head to www.paxtonagri.com.
