  • Leading Italian saddlery brand Selleria Equipe has enlisted the help of Olympic gold medallist Charlotte Dujardin to perfect its latest saddle. The resulting “Viktoria” model is Equipe’s first dressage saddle to have a carbon-fibre tree.

Viktoria dressage saddleThe manufacturers say that the new “eqKD” tree — made from carbon and Kevlar — has flexibility, softness, non-deformability and lightness. The structure is designed for versatility and personalisation, meaning that the tree shape can be individually shaped to suit the horse.

The Viktoria has Equipe’s unique E-Shape panels, which are designed to adapt to the contact surface of the horse’s back through its body heat, to allow uniform support of the saddle and correct pressure distribution. After use the panels return to their original shape.

The material used for the panels is non-toxic and non-allergenic. They are sealed and insulated to make them immune from negative aspects of heat change such as sweat.

Viktoria saddles are available in black, brown, red brown and Newmarket. It is also supplied with a brass name-plate.

RRP: £3999. For information on stockists, visit www.zebraproducts.co.uk or tel: 01352 763350
