POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an attack where an elderly pony was violently assaulted and left to die.
The incident took place in a field on the edge of Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire on Wednesday March 5, between 2 and 4pm.
Details of the attack are not being released but the pony was severely traumatised and so badly injured it had to be put down.
