Ben Maher jumps into the spotlight by winning both the Jumping Derby and Speed Derby at Hickstead. Maher became only the second rider to achieve this prestigious double of wins in the same year.

Zara Phillips is crowned the individual European Eventing Champion, as well as helping the British team to secure their sixth consecutive team gold. Zara was following in the footsteps of her famous mother Princess Anne, who was 1971 European Eventing champion.
