The Fortune Centre named as BETA charity for 2012


  • The Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy in Christchurch, Dorset, has been named by BETA International as its chosen charity for 2012.

    The Fortune Centre is an an independent specialist college that uses horses and horse motivation to help people with special needs.

    BETA will highlight the centre’s valuable work during the BETA International three day trade fair at the NEC, Birmingham (19-21 February 2012).

    “The Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy and the way it uses horses to provide education and life skills to young people with learning difficulties and disabilities is an inspiration to us all,” said Claire Thomas from BETA International.

    “We are very much looking forward to welcoming this extremely worthwhile charity to the show.”

    The Fortune Centre’s director Jennifer Dixon-Clegg added: “We applaud BETA International’s vision in opening up to a wider audience, an area of equestrianism that adds such value to the lives of many people.”
