Actress and Arabian horse enthusiast Susan George is to make her West End debut as a fine art equestrian photographer later this week at Petley’s Fine Art in Cork Street, Mayfair, W1 (27 September – 5 October).

Susan is a successful Arabian horse breeder and owns Georgian Arabian Stud Farm in Exmoor, where she lives with her actor husband Simon MacCorkindale. She has featured in Horse & Hound’s regular Talk Yourself Horse page (12 July, ’07).

Susan is the honorary president of the Horse of the Year Show and has developed her own line of homeopathic horse treatments called “Susan George Naturally”.

Susan said: “I am over the moon that Petley Fine Art has chosen to exhibit my work. ‘The Spirit of Equus’ shows the vibrancy, colour, power and serenity captured for just a moment in time — the magic [of horses] as seen through my eyes.”

Susan’s limited edition signed photographic prints and etchings will be on view and on sale both in the gallery and online at www.petleys.com. Following her exhibition in London, Susan will also show in Monaco and New York.

Susan was a massive film icon of the seventies and throughout her career made some 30 films, including starring opposite Dustin Hoffman in the highly acclaimed “Straw Dogs”.
