Stable lad Conor Murphy is back at work on Nicky Henderson’s yard today, despite winning £1m in a £50 accumulator bet at Cheltenham yesterday.

The 31-year-old Irish man put on his bet that five of his employer’s horses – including his own charge Finian’s Rainbow – would win their respective races back in November.

He predicted that Sprinter Sacre, Simonsig, Bobs Worth, Finians Rainbow and Riverside Theatre would all be winners.

Speaking to the Newbury Weekly News this morning, he said that he was “still in shock”.

“I still cannot believe it, even this morning it is still sinking in. I haven’t even thought about the money yet. It was just pure luck.”
