Police investigate after two horses die in barn fire


  • Police are investigating after two horses were killed in a fire in Derbyshire.

    Two horses died in the stable block fire in Sandiacre. Two others were rescued from the blaze by firefighters.

    Police believe the fire, which broke out at around 1.50am on Sunday (19 December) may have been started deliberately.

    “Police and the fire service have begun an investigation into the cause of the fire, which at this stage is being treated as suspicious,” said a spokesman.
