Horse & Hound magazine gets fresh new look and content

  • horse-hero

Horse & Hound magazine has been redesigned and now features a host of new content every week, starting with today’s (16 April) issue. All the news, features, reports and vet articles you have come to expect remain. In addition we have introduced further features, interviews, training, analysis and expert comment to meet readers’ wants and needs.

Horse & Hound content director Sarah Jenkins said: “Having asked readers what they love about the magazine and what they want to see more of, we’re delighted to bring them what they asked for in our improved magazine.

moveitlike“We have introduced regular rider interviews, horse profiles, training content, more features, more news, more expert comment and additional columnists — including WEG hero Harry Meade — all in response to readers’ feedback. With a cleaner, more accessible look, too, I hope you’ll be able to enjoy your issue each week more than ever.”

The magazine, which is more than 130 years old, has always moved with the times while managing to stay true to its heritage.

Sarah added: “As the equestrian audience, like every other, looks to be informed and entertained by media in different ways, we are focusing on playing to both our magazine and our website’s strengths — each complements the other and gives the reader additional value.

“The magazine gives us the opportunity to revel in the best photography, displaying this in the format it deserves. It is the place for us to indulge in lengthy interviews and really celebrate great horses and horsemanship.

“Online, you’ll find breaking news and a different type of feature — equally informative or entertaining, served in a way that the audience will find easy to search for or share.
