New legacy equestrian centre opens in Greenwich

  • A new equestrian centre set up as an Olympic legacy is now up and running near the site of the London equestrian events.

The Royal Greenwich EC, in Shooters Hill, offers training and degree courses, run by Hadlow College.

The foundation courses, which started in September, are “well booked” and a spokesman told H&H 40% of students are local residents.

The college will soon be offering riding lessons to local people, but the start date and pricing are not yet finalised.

The centre cost £1.6million to set up, with £250,000 coming from the British Equestrian Federation’s legacy money from Sport England
